Allglass were awarded the contract to design, manufacture and install the front glass façade at East Anglia’s premier home furnishing chain, Glasswells, new 73,000 sq. ft. Ipswich showroom.

In keeping with such a prestigious development, the design required a modern seamless appearance and so the Sapa Elegance 52 SX Capless curtain walling system was selected for the central screen incorporating frameless sliding automatic doors.

Due to the size and make-up of the double glazed units, specialist glass lifting equipment was need to enable glazing

While Allglass have completed many projects using curtain walling, this was our first using the SX system and so all employees on the project received supplier training to ensure a quality installation.

On the back of this successful project, Allglass have now carried out a number of projects incorporating this specialised curtain walling system.

Since the completion of the project, the main contractor has been awarded The SAA Craftsmanship award for best alteration & extension for this impressive building by from the Suffolk Association of Architects.
