A vertical slider, also known as a sliding sash window, has two sashes that glide up and down independently, providing flexible ventilation and a classic period aesthetic without the upkeep of timber.
Yes. Vertical sliders are designed to replicate the look of traditional timber sash windows and are accepted by many planning authorities, including in conservation areas, making them ideal for older homes.
Our vertical sliders feature anti-jemmy bars, sash interlocks and multi-point locking systems as standard. PAS 24-compliant upgrades are also available for homes requiring a higher security specification.
Our vertical sliders achieve an A energy rating with U-values as low as 1.4 W/m²K, helping to reduce heat loss and lower household energy bills throughout the year.
Very little. A wipe down with warm soapy water is all that is needed to keep the frames clean. The uPVC will not rot, warp, split or need repainting, unlike traditional timber alternatives.
